Swisscard AECS AG was established as a joint venture between Credit Suisse and American Express in 1998. Since then, we have offered our clients the world-leading expertise of American Express in credit card management, as well as access to Credit Suisse’s strong national distribution channels, all from a single source. 

Swisscard is the exclusive issuer of Credit Suisse credit cards and companies that are part of Credit Suisse Group. Credit Suisse, founded in 1856, has a global reach today with business activities in approx. 50 countries and 47,170 employees from more than 150 different nations. Customers are supported in three regionally organized divisions: Swiss Universal Bank, International Wealth Management and Asia Pacific.

Founded in September 2012, the Swiss, Zurich-based startup company has developed into the market leader in the area of loyalty and communication. poinz stands for innovative, mobile business-customer engagement, connecting more than 1,600 local businesses with more than 1 million customers – digitally networked via smartphone.

For this, poinz is collaborating closely with Swisscard AECS GmbH as the issuer of the poinz Cards.

Swisscard is a member of Advance, the leading business association for gender equality in Switzerland. The network currently consists of more than 120 Swiss companies that are committed to increasing the proportion of women in management.

Swisscard is committed to promoting cashless payment in Switzerland through the Interessengemeinschaft Schweizer Kartenanbieter (ISK), an association representing the interests of Swiss card providers. The “Tony Card” campaign informs consumers, retail partners and other interested parties about the benefits of cashless payment and provides them with in-depth information on the subject through various media.
