Contactless payment

Contactless payment using your credit card is more practical than cash. You simply hold your card with contactless function up to the terminal. You do not need to enter a PIN code or sign a receipt for payments up to CHF 80. Which is why contactless payment is simple, convenient and secure.

How to make contactless payments

Step 1

Watch out for the contactless symbol.

Step 2

Hold your credit card close to the contactless symbol.

Step 3

Your payment will be confirmed on the display within a few seconds – done!

Your PIN code or signature is not requested for amounts up to CHF 80.

Note: increase in limit for contactless payments

The limit for contactless payments without entering the PIN will be increased from CHF 40 to 80 in Switzerland and Liechtenstein until further notice. As a result, cardholders and shop owners will soon be able to process more contactless payments without entering a PIN code or using cash – quickly, easily and securely.
