Foreign currency exchange rate
The card statement is in the card currency. The foreign currency exchange rate is applied to card charges (transactions) that are made in a different currency to the card currency.
Transaction date
The transaction date is the date on which one of the issuer’s cards was used for the purchase of goods and services. This date can be seen on the receipt.
Authorization date
The authorization date is the date on which a request to authorize a card transaction is transmitted to the issuer. Generally, the authorization date is identical to the transaction date, but for technical reasons it may differ from the latter in exceptional cases.
Processing date (posting date)
The processing date is the day on which a transaction (purchase) is charged to the credit card account by the issuer. The transaction is converted into a foreign currency at the foreign currency exchange rate on the processing date.
Card currency
The issuer issues card products in the currencies CHF (Swiss franc), USD (US dollar), EUR (euro). Your spending is billed monthly in the respective card currency.

The issuer of the credit, charge and corporate cards is Swisscard AECS GmbH.
Fee for foreign currency transactions
The fee for foreign currency transactions is the surcharge levied for foreign currency transactions according to the table of fees for the respective card product. This is listed as a percentage on the statement for the respective transaction.
